The Vinh Quy Bai To is a long-standing Vietnamese cultural tradition. After achieving high results in exams, scholars return to their homeland to honor their relatives, ancestors, and teachers.<\/h4>\r\nThe artisan skillfully interprets this noble tradition through carvings on the ancient ceramic jar and then with layers of modern colored glazing, which create a sense of depth. This piece beautifully expresses the creative use of modern techniques on traditional ceramic materials.\r\n\r\nCho\u00e9 is a jar shaped like an old rice jar with a lid. The smaller jars are used to store salt and rice on the altar of worship. In contrast, the larger ones are used for interior decor, storing rice, fermenting wine, or storing and preserving the wealth for the owner.
