Pedestal Tulipiere

In 17th century Europe, where tulips were considered highly precious and extremely valuable, a new type of vase was invented by the craftsmen of old – a special flower holder with multiple spouts to grow tulips indoor. Upon its creation, the tulipiere was quick to gain favors, so much so that it became a common object of ornament in the upper-class European households. Not only can it accommodate tulips, a variety of flowers can be put on display using the tulipiere, be it Easter lilies, hyacinths, or whatever that suits your taste.

Handmade by the artisans of Bát Tràng Museum Atelier (BTMA), the ceramic tulipiere of Bát Tràng is a modern interpretation of the European tulip-holders. This reinterpretation of the classical vase design is typically embellished with either traditional Vietnamese motifs or a coat traditional glaze unique to the workshop. Such a blend of historical elegance and cultural craftsmanship makes the Bát Tràng tulipiere a distinguished piece that bridges tradition and contemporary artistry.

This Pedestal Tulipiere, handcrafted with a base structure inspired by traditional Vietnamese altar trays, blends heritage with modern style.
