In the 17th century, as tulips became highly prized and were regarded as the new “gold” of Europe, ceramic artisans created tulipieres—vessels or towers with multiple openings for growing tulip bulbs indoors. Beyond their practical function, tulipieres soon became decorative objects commonly displayed in the reception rooms of aristocratic homes.
Inspired by the form of the tulipiere, Bát Tràng Museum Atelier (BTMA) has developed a handcrafted collection in multiple versions, including vases and table lamps. Each design is finished in different ways: BTMA’s signature layered glaze technique, layered glazes combined with hand-engraved decoration, or blue-and-white ceramics featuring the specially designed Blooming pattern.

The Blooming Lamp retains the signature form of the Tulipiere collection and is available in two versions: a cobalt blue ceramic base paired with a hand-embroidered linen lampshade featuring the Blooming pattern; and a ceramic base hand-painted with the Blooming pattern, paired with a hand-embroidered velvet lampshade. Each version is handcrafted in Bát Tràng ceramic by BTMA and finished with hand embroidery by Leap Art.
The Blooming Lamp is suitable for a bedside table, side table, or any corner of the home that calls for a warm and gentle source of light.
