Exhibition “25 Years of UNESCO and Hanoi: From a City for Peace to a City for Creativity”

Bát Tràng Museum Atelier (BTMA), alongside the capitol’s teams of handicrafts creative design, has been featured in ’25 Years of UNESCO and Hanoi: From a City for Peace to a City for Creativity’ – an exhibition part of Hanoi Festival of Creative Design 2024.

This is the very first time that BTMA has the opportunity to present their signature products at the CAPITAL ART HOUSE. Some of these most prominent art pieces include the workshop’s trademark Tulipieres, the ‘Ai Ơi’ Handbag’s Ceramic Vase Replica, and the mid-scale model of the renowned Ceramic Boots by the late People’s Artisan Vũ Thắng. More notably, the exhibition will also include the five-piece collection of ‘Rồng Phố’ – a one-of-a-kind series of artworks that distinctively harmonize the ancient traditions of Vietnam and the nation’s contemporary street culture.

25 Years of UNESCO and Hanoi: From a City for Peace to a City for Creativity – an exhibition part of Hanoi Festival of Creative Design 2024.

Created through a collaboration between Bát Tràng Museum Atelier and Designer Diệu Anh, each individual art piece of Rồng Phố’ (Dragon of the Urbanites) incorporates the regal imagery of the Asian dragon with the intimate ordinariness of the everyday street items in its design. These artworks come in five variety, namely monoblocs, sidewalk stools, brick blocks, water pipes, and car tires.

HanoiFCD’24 takes place from November 9-17, 2024, featuring over 100 diverse activities.

The 50-year-old workshop of Bát Tràng Museum, founded by the late People’s Artisan Vũ Thắng.
